Me too.
An exhaust brake is also called an engine brake - and technically, it is an engine brake. But so is the effect of the transmission in lower gear descending a hill.
Perhaps the rv.net dictionary should read:
Engine brake: restricted air flow before combustion
Exhaust brake: restricted air flow after combustion
Regardless, the automotive world will continue to use the two terms interchangeably.
