Excursion won't do it, not enough payload for 7 and it's limited to a 1250 hitch rating. I own one.
Not sure what the GVWR is on the burb, but I know it's not 12,000. More like 8600-9000.
Do I read that right to say all 7 people weigh 700 lbs total? Guess it's all wee lil urchins. :)
I'm not trying to be a downer on this just to be a grump or the weight police. I realize the vast array of different numbers can get confusing, especially for someone new to the towing world. I'd really hate to read about the family of 7 that ended in disaster driving a very overloaded SUV.
Double check those numbers, it's very important.
