Jlfought, those trailer life numbers you quote are the vehicles max tow rating. Not the GVWR of the vehicle itself.
What that "12,000" means is that's the max tow rating the Burb has based on it's curb weight and it's Gross Combined Weight Rating.
It does not allow for a family of 7, even thou you are on the lighter side.. ;)
As has been said, you need to look for vehicles with high PAYLOAD figures, not just it's "tow rating"..
