If you get yourself a class III hitch then I would say you will be OK. I've installed those hitches that "hide" under the car when I worked at a Chrysler dealer, good for bikes or a small trailer, but not a TT!
Get a proper hitch with a WD setup!
And FWIW, there are unibody SUV's out there that have tow ratings of over 5k lbs, not to many real Frame cars anymore!
The car in question can handle it, the hitch shown, not so much!
People need to stop living in the 60's, 70's and 80's. The manuf, haven't left us much to choose from to tow smaller TT's
