Put aside engineering. Even if a small car can technically tow a 30 ft trailer, put that aside for a moment. Put aside any legal concerns and think deeply about the following:
Living in the litigious US, if, heaven forbid you got into an injury or death related accident (even if it was not your fault) and the opposing attorney finds out that you were towing over any part of your rated capacity, you best hope your umbrella insurance is really good.
Will Can Am RV foot the settlement you will no doubt have to come up with? Somehow I doubt it.
So you have to ask yourself, can you handle the financial burden that a civil suit against you may bring? Is towing beyond your rated capacity worth financial devastation?
