Magnum/Charger/300/ are the same platform. At the time, the OEM part number was 82209575AB and available as a dealer installed option on all vehicles.
The Nivomat (trailer tow) leveling shocks in the rear were even OEM on the SRT8.
It doesn't take a jump to surmise that the platform is capable of similar towing capabilities properly equipped.
I wouldn't break any land speed records with the set-up but the OP has taken the appropriate precautions and isn't exceeding the limits of the car.
This is not the discussion. The fact is Dodge rated these two vehicles differently for towing capacity. The hitch that is interchangeable does not change that. Dodge already assumes properly equipped in their ratings.
Sure you can tow more than the OEM's rating. Many here do it all the time. But don't use some contrived argument to convince yourself that you somehow changed the spec.
This OP's combo may be fine if set up properly. But do not suggest they somehow magically increased the OEM's ratings.
