I see at the top of those charts they are listing the numbers as SAE J2807 Compliant.

Jerry is correct for the 2500. A srw 3500 bumps that up to 17,200 which is what I opted for.

Thanks guys for the quick response. I was thinking that 13,900 seemed low. My BIL has a 2008 that he was pretty sure was rated in the 15's. He pulls a 34 footer with it with no problems. Plus, I think my 2005 was 14,000 and change. Could they have decreased the ratings just for safety purposes, or liability or something? But, if that's what the towing guide says it must be correct. "It is what it is," as the saying goes.

Trailer Life 2016 towing guide says 13,900 for a 6.6 diesel 2500 CC 4X4, 3.73, for FW towing. Remember with a FW, it's more about what the truck can carry, rather than what it will pull.
