Towing capacity
The ram 2500 Cummins ctd has towing capacity of Almost 18,000 pounds. Is that on flat roads Only? How about towing uphill? Will it still be 18,000 pounds?

Gears might not be as big a deal as what you think. The Ford towing numbers are:
the F250 tow rating is 14700 lbs
F350 srw tow rating is 20600 lbs
F350 drw tow rating is 27300 lbs
All three trucks are rated with the same engine, transmission and rear end (3.55:1).
