new member hi everyone just bought a 2011 233s rockwood roo 24'going to take the alaska highway for 5 weeks in june 2014 have concern about towing I have a 2010 gmc canyon with v8 and tow package any comments

- I used to tow my Jayco 17Z with a 2006 Colorado, but I had the 3.5 Vortec (4000-5000 capacity depending on the year)
I didn't have any trouble pulling the trailer and didn't have any sway issues. Tractor trailers passing me pulled the camper much more than my bigger truck though.
I seem to remember the Colorado/Canyon V8 having a 6000 lb towing capacity. I think weight wise your within limits, but Based on me towing with the Colorado, I wouldn't have been comfortable towing more than the 17Z that I towed due to the light weight of the truck itself.
