Black Ice is common in West Texas. Many time there is black ice below many of the overpasses. I hit one around sun up on I20 just west of Sweetwater, TX F350 pulling a 35 foot 5R road was dry sun shining snow on shoulder Traveling @55-60. When I entered the underpass which was on a slight curve. Felt bed of truck rise a little and looked in my mirrors and saw the whole side of my trailer chasing me. Got instant white knuckles and Ahole sure puckered up on that one.
Luckily I hit dry pavement and corrected it. The trucker following me got a good laugh out of it over a CB. So just be careful on over and shaded underpasses
