I use air bags and have none of those issues. They work like a charm with a WD hitch.
He is not wrong in that he is talking about using air bags INSTEAD of a WD hitch. In your case you are using them IN CONJUNCTION with a WD hitch and that is a different matter. It is done quite frequently.
In the OP's case, the use of air bags would probably not be a good solution since he has not adjusted his WD hitch properly.
