Our HTT tips scales at 3.490 with dual batteries, water and all we need. We have towed for years with our V 6 3.8 Litre. The five speed tranny is amazing. We often pass others on grades. So yes a six should be fine. Always check your factory sticker to be sure. Best of luck and welcome
