I'll answer this, Mitch, since neither the OP nor anyone else has the knowledge. Being in Germany means the MPG is higher as they use Imperial gallons which are almost 20% larger than a US gallon. So, if a car like an M3 does 20mpg in the US, it will do almost 25mpg in Germany, UK etc.

Yes, of course, was just answering the MPG question. The metric system has hold of much of the world, US one of the few holdouts, though the UK has a hybrid thing going on.
On a different note since you're not from the US...4x4s I wish we'd got in the US: Pajero SWB, Y61 Patrol. L200 and Hilux pickups I like too, and the Defender despite its reliability woes is just so good looking.
Never say never. European Vans never existed at one point, now you have the Promaster, Transit and Sprinter, admittedly the first two have petrol engines rather than Diesels
