Towing with a Ford F250

Hello Everyone:
I am thinking about towing a 34 foot travel trailer (6800 lbs trailer weight) with a ford F250 6.7 L 32Valve DDI OHV turbo diesel V8 engine. Would you recommend this vehicle for a tow vehicle for towing this travel trailer?

  • Thanks to everyone who responded to my question! We definitely will see a F250 in the near future pulling our TT!
  • If that won't tow it nothing will. I don't even need to see the numbers for either. That's a perfect match
  • That F250 with a 6.7 is a great TV ...only thing better would be an F350 with a 6.7 the F250 will work !!
  • That's plenty of truck. Set your WDH (if your using one) right and go have fun
  • You're well within bounds. We towed a 32' TT with an F250 6.8L V10 with no problem.
  • I too have a 2011 F250 gasser towing a 34 foot TT weighing in around 8600 lbs and it tows very well with WDH and sway control. Your diesel should do just fine.
  • You should always compare the weight of the trailer to the rated towing capacity of the truck. Offhand I would say you are well within the capacity of this truck.
  • Hello:
I forgot to say that the Ford F250 is a 2011 with 33332 miles on it.
