True story- wife borrowed eggs from a camping neighbour as we were packing up to leave she returned the container and placed the eggs(3) on the fridge shelf until she got back.
I don't have to tell you she forgot ,I didn't know until the next day when I open the door (we leave it open in storage ) and found the eggs just sitting there.
