Our Dodge has the weak link 47RE auto trans and we rebuilt it at 140,000. The trans was working fine but we decided to be proactive and not wait until there was a problem. The rebuild, with a new heavier Bullet torque converter, was $2500.
We are very happy with the truck.
Old Blue most likely tows better than the 03! Ha! Ha! I wonder how I know that!
