I have an F-150 E-Boost and all I do is press the Tow Haul and go. It picks the gear the computer wants. I never change the overdrive setting.
In the Rockies I would occasionally override the computer's choice with the Manual gear selection when I thought it was too high a gear; but that was rare.
Of course I am only towing a 25 foot TT.
