When I had my Silverado 1/2 ton I changed from the stock Bridgestone Dueler P-rated tires (with 70K miles on them) to Toyo Open Country A/T LT-rated and load range D. My gas milage went down about 1 MPG. However, they were not only a heavier tire, but a more aggressive tread. That being said, I sold that truck with 85K on the tires and they still had some tread life left.
