Toyota Tundra payload issues?

So its looking like the Tundra just doesnt have the payload capacity (1500-1650 lbs) that the Chevy or Ford does (1800-1900) so I guess I will go in that direction. Getting a 2500 series truck is not an option for me. So I am figuring my load will be around 2200 lbs including the boat tongue weight which I weighed today, around 2000 without the boat. OK so now Im wondering who has a Chevy Silverado out there 1500 series who is doing something similar? Yes I know I might be over the 1800-1900 rating but how big a deal is this if I install heavy shocks or airbags? Thanks again.
