Toyota Tundra vs Ford F150 Hybrid Fuel Economy Tests

Towing weight: 8,100 lbs

Tundra
Empty: 24 mpg
Towing: 12.4 mpg

F150 Hybrid
Empty: 36 mpg
Towing: 11.8 mpg

    Range is a very important item to me. Doesn't fuel economy have something to do with that?

    And FWIW, I think it is CRAZY to question "who buys a pickup for MPG". Most people are concerned with it. And it will become more important in the future.
  • Maybe again when Cali gas hits $6 if pickups are still on sale there, or $4.50 a gal in most of the rest of the country.

    Fuel economy performance was a big plus when I was shopping for a truck in 2012.

    More than you think, depending upon that person's needs. My current one is the most mpg oriented one I've owned. Most I've worried about, but not really.

    At the end, I retesting results....
