Sweetgammy, unfortunately the Tundra is still a half-ton truck. I think the point many are trying to make is that like most half tons you will lack payload to haul larger trailers. The heavier the trailer, the more tounge weight, the more it counts against your payload. I have a 2010 Tundra and love it. We pull a 6,000 lb trailer over some pretty steep terrain. It has all the power I could wish for, but with a couple of bikes and firewood I am probably well over my payload capacity. After our trip back from the Smoky Mountains I am putting E-load tires on it this week.
