Ok, nobody in this thread is trying to say that the Tundra is equivalent to a 250/2500 series truck. One person commented that its a "3/4 ton" because the payload is over three quarters of a ton. The payload designation is how trucks used to be known. Nobody in this thread made any type of representation that the Tundra has the frame, suspension, brakes, rear axle, wheel studs, bearings, etc etc on par with a true 3/4 ton vehicle. We all realize that a true 3/4 ton truck (250/2500) is substantially beefier than the Tundra.
That is NOT the question here. Stay on topic on this thread please. I'm sure their will be an idiot along soon enough that claims his Tacoma pulls his fifth wheel better than your diesel dually. Save your yellow sticker pictures for him.
OP still hasn't responded with any of the requested info from multiple people. Kinda makes me wonder whats going on there. At the end of the day, I think that with the right engine/drivetrain/body style/trim level that a Tundra can safely and comfortably tow that trailer. The Tundra and trailer would have to be loaded in an intelligent manner and be equipped correctly. I enjoy my Tundra, it tows very well if used correctly and within specs.
