I saw that Toyota photo awhile ago, and yes it's UGLY.
The new Ford Transit is even worse. The grill looks like a fishes mouth.
A Carp to be exact.

Oh I've seen MUCH worse.

I don't know if I would call it ugly but it is subdued or car like for a new design. As far as the half tons strictly on the outside I like the GM and a tie for Ram/Ford for second. But that is just my opinion. And I am also a Ford person.

Maybe Perrysburg is putting his kids through college selling magazines. :)

I'm not sure what is up with car manufacturers. They seem to like to make vehicles look like animals or even give them human characteristics, like that goofy grin on the front of a Mazda 3. And don't even get me started on those LED daytime running lights that make cars look like Japanese cartoon characters! I agree with Don, it's FUGLY!

They (OEMs) all follow what is the Latest and Greatest whatever
it is that is selling to the fashion statement crowd

Can see elements of the Nissan/Toyota/Audi (GTR/LFA) noses that now has
econo boxes showing up with them...including the spliter

Plus for full sized pickups...the Dodge nose...which is now standard
on all Fords and GMs

Another plus is that taller is thought to be bigger/tougher by the
fashion statement crowd. GVWR's have NOT changed much...just sheet
metal to appease looks and bling folks (Fashion Statement Crowd)
