I've mountain biked it a few times. One time in early May the whole road was closed because of mud and snow/bad weather and everyone was stuck in whatever camp spot they'd made it to for the night. The rangers came around and told everyone to stay put. I watched a truck come down Hardscrabble Hill and almost slide off the side - made me happy I was on a bike. He obviously didn't know the road was closed.
Taking big campers like yours on the White Rim would be fun except for a few bad spots, then those big rigs might get a little tippy, but maybe they've improved it since I was last on it. I also like driving Shaeffer Trail, but last time I did it I was glad I was in my FJ as it was pretty rough.
Nice photos - I need to get back out there!
