I don't know why there is even arguing over the "Boost" feature. Turn it on a low speeds, and it can make trailer brakes grabby. Even Tekonsha acknowledges that. That's the one thing I don't like. I don't get that towing our car haulers with marginal brakes, but my Outdoors RV with 6k axles has very strong brakes, so Boost is unpleasant at low speeds. However, at high speeds I turn it on to maintain the same car-like braking I have as when I'm empty. Part of it is the controller, as I can see the voltage being sent, and I admit some it the nature of electric drum brakes. But fact is, there is better! Does everyone need better? No, but I don't believe that was the question.
