I see the original question got lost a bit, lets try again.
Ford publishes two GCWR rating for MY signature truck
1. 3.73 axle 19,000 lbs
2. 4.30 axle 22,000 lbs
The only way to know this is to look at the Axle code and then look up the published information.
There are no other changes to the truck that I can find beside the gear axle between the two ratings.....Don't get excited...I AM NOT TRYING TO EXCEED anything.
My conclusion from reading everyone's input...thank you....is because this number is not on the truck sticker that you SHOULD be able to change it in this particular case.
Once again you don't have to tell me about LEO's and Lawyers...I'M NOT TRYING TO EXCEED anything :)
