trailer lights wont work
Just got a new-to-me 2013 kia sorento that already had a towing package/electric brake controller installed. Sounded great, but got it home and it didnt work. I had this powered circuit protected taillight converter installed on it. Powered circuit protected taillight converterhttps://www.curtmfg.com/part/56163
All I need it for is for brake/turn/tail lights, nothing else. I unhooked everything and installed a new 7-pin plug and hooked up the wires correctly.. however, the lights on the trailer will only come on for a 1/2 second then go off.
Ive hooked up lights on several vehicles and never had this problem, do I have to install the curt powered circuit protected taillight converter back on for it to work properly? I feel like the old one is fried, so I would have to buy a new one... 120 bucks. Thoughts?
