Yes you are calculating correctly. However the rangers do not really make a habit of pulling a tape measure out and send you away for being a few inches too long.
Within reason, if you fit you are good. However if you do not fit do not expect a refund. If you can't get around a tight bend don't expect help to get you out. If you damage something as you wedge in you may have to pay to fix the campground property and still be required to leave.
I have been a bit longer than the official max and have slid in fine and no one looked twice at the equipment. If the area is clear you can often over hang a bit into the site. But if that puts your bumper over the fire ring there will be no smores for you. Just be reasonable and if you end up too big you will need to be more selective about the space you choose.
