My camping style is really close to yours, with the addition of traveling on dirt roads to get to campsites. Have you taken a look at Outdoors RV or Northwood RV? The units are built for off grid camping, and off pavement travel. They might be hard for you to find in Tennessee, but I thought I would toss the idea at you.
