Trailmanor 3124 ...should I?

I use to come on here a lot, always dreamed of owning a pop up trailer. My daughter had twins and life got busy and I sort of put that on hold. tonight my brother in law called, they bought a trailmanor 3124 KB in 2012 for 29,000 and have decided to upgrade. The dealer would only give them 10,000 for it so they decided to give me first shot at it.

They really take good care of their things I have no doubt its like new. The tow vehicle would be a 2011 v6 toyota highlander. I would need to store it down the street because of HOA.

It looks pretty nice, I am the one that likes to camp but my husband knows its a good deal and it on board for that reason. The grandkids are almost 3 just thinking we could have a blast in it.

Any opinions are welcome! Thanks.

  • Have you spent any time inside the rig. I like TrailManor's and had one for a couple of season before upgrading BUT if it doesn't fit your camping lifestyle it's no deal! Be sure you understand about the toilet; recirculating I believe, and what is the process for dumping.
  • I don't have a tow package on the highlander, I read that in the owners manual and figured it was something I could purchase before purchasing the trailor. Is that correct?
  • I assume you have the towing package on the highlander? that gives you 5,000 lbs. towing. without it you have 2,000 rating.
I pull my 3500 lb dry TT with mine satisfactorily. for serious towing/traveling I would prefer a tacoma, etc.

  • The trailer will weigh between 4000 and 4500# ready to travel! maybe slightly less. About 600# tongue weight. If your Highlander can handle that it sounds like a great deal, it will deprecate pretty slowly starting from $10k

Since it is not a high wall TT going down the road the V6 might pull that pretty decent.
