Congrats on your new ride. We have a 2006 Dmax and have pulled many hills and passes without issue.
I figure the ambient outside temp. plus a 100 degrees, give or take 20 degrees on the temp gauge.
So if it's 100 outside, the trans temp will be right close to 200. On long pulls in the heat it may be a little more.
