Thanks to all - this is great info. We are now nearing the end of our trip and are at Richmond WA waiting for tomorrow morning when we have a tour of the Hanford B reactor booked. Then we head west through the mountains and end up in Tacoma towards the end of the week.
It has been a great trip and the advice given has been really helpful. I will put together a trip report at some stage.
