Travel Queen Vintage TC Registry

Happy to document this camper. Everyone let me know if there are specific pictures you are interested in.

I do have all the owners manuals and warranty cards. I see the Frige, Oven, Stove, Water heater, heater, Toilet, Water Pressure System, Coleman Gas Lamp, and also a Apache Family Camping Directory with US campsites and maps with a copywright of 1959 thru 1963. Some cookbooks too. I don't know if the camp guide and cook books came with the camper but look to be in the same era as the rest.

Over time, I'll post pics and scans of the docs. If anyone is interested in anything first, let me know and I'll put them to the top of the list.

The gas lamp I would be surprised if it is a replacement. Could it be this camper is newer than I think it is? Maybe the gas lamp and floor plan can assist in determining the year. I was told by seller (daughter of the original owner) nothing has been touched and everything is original. She only remembers the camper as a kid being used only once and then it was parked in the barn and never used again until I purchased it. My Wife and I used it for it's second time in March of this year.

Anyone know when the newer style Colemen Gas Lamps were introduced to the Travel Queen line? The tag on the camper says "6616" and the same number scratched/etched on the upper door frame. There are no other markings or tags anywhere. Can a year be determined by this?

Beautiful BarnFindSilly. Wonderful addition to the thread, and such a valuable contribution to those rest of us who need reference of originality and original condition. Since yours is so clean, it would be great if you could take detailed pictures and start to record detailed specs of everything you can think of.

Also, if it has original documents, like appliance owner's manuals, etc., it would be really beneficial to others if you could scan them and post them here.

The gas light is a newer model than what was original. The 110V lights with the gold squarish base must be original (as I have one in mine), with both globes matching they are probably original as well. It is those details (like the globe) that are so beneficial. The towel ring is shaped like mine, but it is green plastic and mine is antique bronze metal. The magazine rack is the same as mine and like many others I've seen in pictures of other units.

I love your fridge. Do you want to swap the green panel for my Hadco 410 wood panel? :)

Hello Everyone. I am a new Member.

I just purchased a Travel Queen a couple of months ago. I am unsure of the year but I think it is a 66 or 67. This was a barn find and was only used twice in it's lifetime and kept in a barn. Once I washed all the Dust and mud dauber nest off of it I ended up with a diamond in the ruff. Inside needed nothing. It still has saw dust in it from when it was built. I re-wired it for 30 amp service and added modern features like microwave, LED TV/BluRay Surround and several space-saver appliances. I also added AC/DC converter with auto transfer switchgear and solar power to 120 AC back-up. This thing is like new, never had any water leaks or hail damage.

I really like the old wood interiors of these TCs. And I sure enjoy the enthusiasm of the folks who are restoring them. I've been plumping for a Vintage Truck Camper Rally with all the models we see here on the Forum: Avion, Travel Queen, Amerigo. Heck, we ought to have our own little organization...

I am not sure what year, the wiring diagram is signed and the dye next to it says 1964, but still not sure. I believe it's a model 111 front side dinette. Pretty original, not sure if the morphy Richards fridge and travlers stove came with it. So far I've gotten all the lights working, water pump upgraded, new water lines, fixed some leaks and replaced leaky p trap. Just got some 1/8" birch plywood to replace a slightly rotted panel. Previous owner put tons of putty in the front, I think I'm going to paint over that for now. I love it so far, taking it out on its maiden voyage beginning of June to Monterey, now for some pictures. If anybody knows what year lemme know, thanks

Bears: Looks like you have 5 lines of URLs that will take people to your pictures on photobucket. Look close at your 5 lines and get rid of the stuf talking about "sort". Each line will start with your http word and each line will end with your html? word. So you can edit each of those to get the address lines for those 5 shots that you want to cut and paste into a helper screen to make your pics visible in this thread. There is an easier way too. When you view your full size photobucket picture, look off to the right. You'll see some "link" suggestions. Find the one that says "direct" and click it. You'll then notice it says copied. At that point return to your forum post, or reply post. You'll want to be in "Advanced Post Form" not "Quick Reply". In the advance Post Form you'll see a row of icons at the top of the text box. Click on the one that looks like a landscape picture. I think it's a yellow color. Clicking that will open a picture post thing and you can right mouse>paste that earlier copied link in the first line. Give yourself a blank line and do it again, for each pic.

Thats a very interesting looking TC. The outside is all aluminum?
