I love all the "weight Police" here who think you MUST own a pickup to pull a TT! Well maybe you and many others do NOT want or need a friggin pickup! Maybe we want a full size SUV that is used as a family vehicle all the time in comfort.
I pull a 30 ft Bullet TT that weighs 5650 dry with a 600 tongue weight! I have a 2013 Expy XLT with a 5.4 L V8 that is NOT as powerful or has as much torque as the new V6 turbo 3.5 L engines in all the Expys after 2016. Yet, I have pulled my Bullet for over 10,000 miles last 4 years with ZERO issues or sway with my Expy with an E2 WD hitch. . I can maintain my desired 60-65 mph on level ground and 50-55 on the biggest hills which is fine! It has a long, rugged wheelbase and frame and a tough enough rear suspension to ride level with no squishy ride.
Previously I had a 1997 Expy for 20 years with same engine and pulled both this TT and a 7000 lb 25 foot cabin cruiser for 10's of thousands of miles without a WD hitch!
The Expys are a rugged tow vehicle if equipped with the HD tow package including bigger brakes, trans and oil cooler and HD hitch, and yet offer the comfort and 3 row seats of a large SUV
Don't be talked into a pickup! The TT you have picked out will be a walk in the park for an Expy properly equipped with a good WD hitch!
