This is incorrect.
A WD hitch does not transfer weight to the trailer axles.
What it does do is shift some of the hitch weight from the rear axle to the front axle.
A WD hitch does not transfer tongue weight. That weight is still there. What the hitch does is transfer LOAD.
The tongue weight does not enter into the calculations.
The spring bars transfer load to the front axle of the tow vehicle, and a smaller amount to the trailer axle(s).
