Travel trailer GVWR more that combine GAWR

Hello everyone,
I was going over the specs for my brand-new travel trailer 2017 Jayco Eagle 330RSTS and noticed some inconsistencies which I hope someone can explain. First of all, I noticed that the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) was significantly more than the combined gross axle weight rating (GAWR):
GVWR = 11,250 lbs.
Front GAWR = 5,200 lbs.
Rear GAWR = 5,200 lbs.

Safety is the primary reason for manufacturers to place a limit on how much weight each axle can carry. Overloading a trailer of any kind is dangerous!
The GVWR should never surpass the GAWR on any vehicle, however I have an excess allowed by the manufacturer for 800 pounds (!). I understand that the part of the weight should be subtracted (???) from the full amount of GVWR due to tongue weight (10-15%), however please could you help me to understand either this is the manufacturer's fault, or it should be? I will attach VIN sticker photo below and would like to thank you in advance for your time and support.
Best regards, LS
  • My TT's GVWR exceeds my combined GAWR. Same with my previous TT too. Same with a friends TT. Seems to be standard.

    As stated, 10-15% TW is not on the axle's. Even when sitting in driveway.
