Just got my Good Sam insurance renewal quote for the next year. Premiums went up 60%! No claims have ever been filed. Anyone else experience the ridiculous increase? Time to start shopping. Any sugges...

It is always a good idea to shop around and people should do it regularly. I don't buy into the notion that insurance companies are out to get you as some people have stated. As a business model this would lead to massive failure with people leaving all the time.
Keep in mind that your insurance company insures people all over the US and most of them do home, car and RV packages. When Katrina hit there were billions of dollars in damage. Insurance companies had to step up and pay. It wasn't long before another huge storm came along and insurance premiums started to rise. In just the last few years we have seen massive damage and a matching massive pay out by insurance companies. I will bet that the company you are using has been paying out lots of claims even though you were not one of them.
My agent explained the effect on all of these storms on the market and suggested that I indeed look around for a better deal. You might find one, but my guess is that one will go up sooner than later as well. Some find some kind of strange solace in being a victim of a crooked insurance agent. If that is you, do drop that company and get a better deal. I am pretty sure you can find one. Don't be surprised if this new deal will lose its luster too.
