I will second what ScottG just said. I don't know if they are "the best" but I do feel confident in saying that they are a very good trailer tire. People buy tires every day and many of them simply put them on their trailers and drive off without much in the way of checking the tires. They overload them, they drive too fast and seldom check the pressures. Yes, they blow out before their time but this happens to all brands, some more than others.
My advice is simple. Buy a good brand tire from a reputable dealer. Buy one that gives you a nice safety cushion in weight limits. Keep them aired up and watch them closely. I also believe in sticking with ST tires as they are designed for trailers and have stronger side walls. Just my two cents here. Oh, and keep the speeds down.
I have been passed on freeways by people pulling large trailers at 70+ mph. These are the same folks that want bigger wheels and heavy duty LT tires so they can drive fast and not worry about their tires. Hmmmm, I suppose that does make some sense. At 70+ I would worry about a lot of other things than the tires.
