That is probably the "dry" tongue weight....could you post the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of the trailer....then we help you with the correct size hitch spring bars you are asking about...

Hmmmmm, unusual. Sure would like to know exactly which make / model / year of trailer you're talking about as it would be pretty unusual for any trailer with such a low UVW to feature such a massive CCC AND also have such a high unloaded gross tongue weight to UVW of almost 17%. :h

All that said, if you're sure you want an Equal-i-zer and you're sure gross tongue weight of this trailer loaded and ready to camp will regularly exceed 600 lbs then you'd want to go to the next size up EQ - the 1,000 / 10,000 lb model.

But, that aside...given those numbers, I agree with SoundGuy. I'd order a hitch with 1000 lb. spring bars.

That's got to be a toy hauler, lots of CCC and an unusually high dry tongue weight.

Yeah, sounds like a toy hauler. Hopefully he can tell us the weight of what he's going to put in it.
