Never carry extra fuel. No need to. Always camp at electric supplied campgrounds and never very far from a gas station. No need for a generator, and no space in my rig for an ATV.
I suggest you get a good gas can that seals tight. You can put it in the trailer pass through. But you would not want it in there when you are occupying the camper once camped. One drop of fuel in the camper (anywhere) and you'll have a stink for a long time!
