- Dick_BExplorerWe have maxxair covers over our two vents and leave them open, fans off, when traveling. Cooler is a relative term. Maybe `not as stuffy' is better.

I accidentally left bath vent open on a 6 hour trip. There is a vent cover. Upon arrival, there was a fine coating of dust all over the bathroom.
It’s now on our departure list to close all vents.
This ^^^^^^^^^^^^ has been our experience too, only I intentionally left the vents open because of forum recommendations. - GrandpaKipExplorer III accidentally left bath vent open on a 6 hour trip. There is a vent cover. Upon arrival, there was a fine coating of dust all over the bathroom.
It’s now on our departure list to close all vents. - valhalla360NavigatorI wouldn't do it unless you have the secondary vent covers so you can open the vents in the rain. The standard vents are pretty flimsy and if they break while traveling in the rain, you can expect a mess upon arrival.
I don't see any harm in running the fan but the suction created by running at 60mph will likely make the fan pointless. - tomman58ExplorerIf you have a later model TT like our Jayco the fans no longer have to be open as they vent differently. they are even rain proof because of the newer design.
- midnightsadieExplorer IIwith the vent open moving down the road should suck the hot air out, don,t think you need to turn it on. try it on a test run.
- southernskyExplorerRun ours in the 5th wheel to take some of the heat out while traveling. We also have the vent covers.
