Travelling with the U dinnette 'down'
We usually leave the table out of the U dinette, and put it at the back of the trailer while travelling (on the lower of our jack and jill bunks), is this necessary? Is it ok to travel with it set up ...

I am not sure if this is any different in a HTT versus a TT. I leave my table in for traveling and have also put it down in the "bed" position for traveling. I have found the need to store items on the table when traveling, so that was the reasoning behind it.
I did one other thing I did not long after purchasing the TT and realizing we would use this as a bed from time to time. I measured the distance from the table to the floor when the bed was made, I then cut a piece of PVC pipe for each of the table leg mounts. I wanted something more support with no damage to the table or dinette benches. These pieces keep the table from sliding out either from vibration or turning.
