What make/model/year?
If it's 1/2 ton I'd definitely suggest a TT. There are some 5er's rated as 1/2 ton towable, but you get into a real numbers game making sure you don't overload the rear axle and/or chassis. Even with a TT, make sure you watch weights and don't overload the truck.
I think 5ers tend to have larger open living space and more storage. TT have a wide range of layouts. I've towed both and can honestly say they are both fine. There are differences in how they tow, but I'm fine with either.
