I guess there is something missing in the translation. If all the other gauges above aren't as accurate telling you how much remains of the batteries capacity, why is everyone against the Smartgauge?
Your camping, it afternoon, you want to know how much capacity remains to see if you need to cut down on usage or start up the genset before it's quiet time, what the heck do you you need to know that this doesn't do?
Keeping in mind, it doesn't care how old your batteries are, how potentially degraded they are, how COLD it is.........it just works, and it works without all the other b.s. Also, it keeps track of all the input power, battery charger, solar panels, etc.
If you need a box to tell you what is drawing what for power, buy a $20 watt o' meter......I guess I never expected to need an engineering degree to go camping. :)
I think this thing is really all that most people need-----install it and be done.
