MKish, I have traveled extensively with my two black labs and have never had a problem in any national park or other places. I simply leave them in the truck OR if it warm in the camper with one window partly open and the Fantastic Fan on medium. They are comfortable and have never had any problems even in warm to hot weather. At times I will leave them in the truck with all windows open and they are trained to NOT jump out. A risk for someone to steal them - possibly - but so far I have never had any trouble. Never had a problem in DV on at least 4 trips with the dogs. Take yours and all of you enjoy the trip!
