trip to denver
I've been lurking for a while. and now I may have to make a emergency trip to Colorado. ive never taken the truck and camper that far before. any tips and advice for a trip from spokane to denver...

Being from Wyoming, I'd say the suggestion to avoid I-80 is a good one. Wind and winter blizzards can and do occur right through till early June. If the weather is clear though, go for it. Towns every 90 miles give or take right along the UP railroad and no major changes in grade. Just nice, gentle, sometimes boring open country with antelope and the occasional bear around Elk Mountain (saw one in mid-afternoon just strolling along a fence line north of the interstate).
