We finally made it to the Museum. Last time we tried the "Government" decided to shut down. Oh well, we made it. We spent at least 20-22 hours over 3 1/2 days and probably missed things. We went in all the buildings, outside exhibits and the side trip to the Presidential Hanger. We stayed at the Wilderness KOA for 2 nights (probably the cleanest bathhouse I have ever been in), a Pilot and a Walmart. On to Louisville. Here are a few pics.

The museum has been on my bucket list for years. Glad you enjoyed it.

I agree, that museum is well worth a visit, although I haven't been there since the '80s!.Steve.

We were there for a week in 2010. Favorite exhibit was Bock's Car.

3.5 days huh...looks like I better plan that early when I retire again. Retired Air Force in 2001 but I was always on the west coast or overseas. I love those planes.

I was there in 2001 and agree it is an awesome place. I need to stop back again and see what's changed. Surely you took more pictures than that.

It is located on wright patterson AFB, Dayton, OH,but are in no way associated with WPAFB or the air force. There is no admission charge and make their from donations and rich people.

My daughter is in the Air Force and every base we've ever visited her at has a museum.

Dayton, Ohio at the Air base (forgot the name) on the east side of town. We were there a number of years ago. Really enjoyed it at the time. Spent about 6 hours there which was too short a time.
