Hello!Looking for a TT under 21 ft with a triple or quad bunk. My husband and I don't need a permanent bed...so is there anything out here with only the bunkhouse and a dinette to keep length down? We have 3 little kids and want to transition to a small length from tenting.Hoping to avoid hybrids.Thanks!!

Do you mean under 21' total length or 21' in camper length? My trailer is 22' from bumper to hitch, but only 19' of actual camper..It has a queen bed up front, middle kitchen/dinette, rear bath.No way to have quad bunks in this thing, unless you took out the rear bath and put the kitchen/dinette up front leaving you with a fold down bunk on the dinette.. Not sure where the bath would go??Can't say I've seen one of those floorplans..Back in the day when I was a kid, my folks had a 1976 Taurus that had quad bunks in the rear, middle kitchen/bath and the front was the dinette that folded down to a bed.. But, it was about 26' at least in total length..I remember camping in a 1963 or so 12' Shasta trailer before we got the Taurus.. Had us 2 kids and Mom and Dad in that one! :)Good luck with the search.. What I'm seeing out there now for "bunks" all seem to be over 26' to 33' in length now a days...Mitch

Ya, knowing if you mean 21' hitch to bumper or a 21' box makes a difference. Would two of your kids share a bed? If so, there's the Keystone Fireside 19 which has a double bed with bunk over top and then the couch and dinette can be made into beds. It seems to have a long hitch though, so 23'4" towing length with the 19' box.If you mean 21' box, the Lance 2185 has a triple bunk and queen sized bed.The Jayco 184BH is 20" hitch to bumper. It only has double bunks but I believe both the sofa and dinette can be made into a bed.If I think of anything else I'll post again.

When we started looking for our first camper about five years ago we saw a used Aerolite with four bunks up front, center bath and the master bed slide off the back. It was either 21 or 23 feet.

I grew up in a tent. Which is a lot smaller than an 18 ft TT.

If you want a small trailer, go for it. Not everyone needs or wants a monster bunkhouse. I spend almost 0 time inside my trailer, always have always will, just how we grew up. We went camping to be outside, not to sit in the TT.

My aunts Jayco 184bh fits her, 2 dogs, and 2 10 year old kids just fine, with room yo spare. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

This is exactly why we gave up our popup for a 32ft bunkhouse. With two kids life was great the third kid came along and that popup became the smallest place on earth. My wife actually said to me after 8 years of camping that she would not spend one more night in that pup and she loves camping so we bought the TT. Never regretted one bit and our pup went to a wonderful family who camp with us now. If tow weight is not an issue I would recommend looking at your larger options.

do not jump into a small tt with kids. You will hate it. I have 21ft rbh hybrid with bunkbeds across the back. Gives us 18ft of bath, kitchen, dinette, and bench. Bang heads and throw punches in something that small. Opened up its perfectly fine. You may need to look at hybrids or expandable bed slides to get a little elbow room and most importantly clothes storage and extra bedding.

My aunt has a 184bh by jayco, it's a great little camper. It only has double bunks, but also has a couch that makes into a nice bed, and a large dinette that makes into a bed. The couch bed is so comfy my aunt often sleeps on that rather than the dinette bed.

NorthTrail FX235. A little longer than you want but it has triple bunk in back with queen up front. We have had ours for 3 seasons now. 3 kids, 2 adults and a 90 lb. black lab that goes with us everywhere. We all fit and everyone has their own space. I lifted ours 5", installed 15" wheels and oversize tires for "offroad" use. We boondock here in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah for fly fishing trips off the beaten path. Good Luck.

Weight isn't really the issue, more of panicky newbies that want to start on the smaller side :)...

I'm excited to check out some of these I haven't come across.

Forest River has some with Triple bunks in the rear as an option. The bottom bunk is always floor level.

IMO yes the X213 is best bang for the money and sleeping capacity..

If you're talking 21' box, the model I have may work for you. Jayco X213 It's got double bunks at the front, and then a king size hard slide bed at the back. The bed is huge. We've got 3 kids and the littlest just sleeps with us on the king. As she gets bigger, we can just flip down the sofa in a couple seconds and she can sleep on it. It's got a 24' towing length.

I can't seem to find the Jayco 228 for 2015, but that's the link to the 2014 and if you can find one on a dealer's lot, it has triple bunks and a queen bed. It's 25'11" towing length though and a 22' box so likely bigger than you want.
