I currently have the Cummins under the hood of my Ram, but my next one will likely be the 6.4L Hemi for a few reasons:
- Mpg difference isn't what it used to be
- The Cummins is COLD in the winter here in Canada. I have a 10 mile commute, and I just start getting cab heat when I arrive at work when it's really cold out - grill blocked with a winter front, plugged in or not.
- I will likely be downsizing the RV as the kids are getting older now and I don't need the bunk model.
- The gas engine truck is about $8000 - $10,000 cheaper to buy than a comparable diesel
- The Hemi has 410hp :) which should suit my needs
- I don't like all the "complexity" the new diesels have. An out of warranty repair (for any brand) diesel would be very painful on the wallet
