I do as avoidcrowds describes. Works very well. My Ram can roll 2-3 inches when only using the park setting of the transmission. Remember, "park" on your transmission isn't a brake at all. I've provided a link to a video that shows you what the transmission "park" is and explains why the vehicle rolls (different makes and models vary somewhat, but the principle is the same).
